Red Oaks Waterpark
We went to Red Oaks Waterpark last Friday with a bunch of my friends and their kids. Aubrey and all the kids had a great time. Aubrey was FEARLESS when it came to the water...she just went right in. She didn't care when the big bucket of water came crashing down on her from above, she didn't care when she sat on the slide and water was raining down on her, she LOVED getting wet. She loved to "swim". She was shivering and I tried to get her out and she would not have it. She wanted to play and play and play. And 5 minutes after we got on the car she was fast asleep! It was definitely worth the money and I will definitely take her back there again this summer.

ARIZONA! May 2011
We went to Arizona May 14-21 to visit the family and attend Kaitlyn's high school graduation and Sara's promotion ceremony from the 8th grade to high school. This was Aubrey's first time on an airplane and she did FANTASTIC! She didn't cry or fuss when we were taking off or landing. She seemed to enjoy herself, but got a little bit bored during the flights, since she couldn't get out of her seat and run around.
Kaitlyn graduated from high school on May 18th. Graduation was held at University of Phoenix stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals. We were all down in the endzone for the ceremony and the rest of the staduim was empty. It was kind of odd having all that room and no people. But, they got thru 500+ names and speeches in about 1.5 hours, so that wasn't too bad. Kaitlyn is planning on attending community college for the first 2 years and then move on to a bigger university to finish her degree.
Sara was promoted from the 8th grade to high school on May 19th. Her class was much smaller then Kaitlyn's but took just as long with all the awards and speeches. Sara got 3 awards from her teachers and also sang the National Anthem with 3 or 4 other kids in her class. Who knew she could sing???? :)
The rest of the week we just hung out with the family. We stayed with John's sister Gina and her family in Surprise, a suburb outside of Phoenix. We went swimming in their pool, did a little shopping, went to the zoo and went to a few local restaurants for dinner. The weather was great....hot the first couple of days, then it cooled off into the 70's, rained a little, then got right back up in the high
80's for the rest of our trip.
Aubrey had a great time at the park and went down the twisty slide all by herself. She was scared at first, but kept going back for more.
**Sorry for a few duplicated pictures. Had a lot to post and the site was giving me problems! :)
