10 months old!

Today I am 10 months old!

A few more things I am doing now:
I say "Kit-Kat get down" when a kitty is on the table, on the window sill or just laying down in front of me.

I love to drink water from my sippy cup!

Cherrios are yummy!

When I take a bite of food I say "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM"

I am starting to really gain my balance. I think I might try that walking thing soon!

Aunt Dawn & Aunt Kathy--August 2010

This weekend mommy, daddy and I went to the Higgins Lake house with Aunt Dawn and Aunt Kathy. On Friday, after we got to the house and unpacked, we went into town and had dinner at Fred's. Everyone shared their dinner with me. I had some fish, spare ribs, steak and potatoes. Everything was very tasty!

On Saturday we rented a pontoon for the day at Houghton Lake. We were worried since it rained in the morning, but it cleared up and we were on our way! We had such a great time out on the lake, looking at all the houses, boats and jet skiers around us. We anchored and I went into the water with daddy, Aunt Dawn and Aunt Kathy. After a few minutes daddy put me in my floatie. It was soooo much fun! I just bobbed in the water and watched all the swimmers around me. After about 1 hour we pulled up the anchor and we were on our way back to the marina. After we docked, we went home and had a yummy dinner of steak, potatoes and corn.

I was sad to leave today, but it was nice to get back home to my house, my bed and my kit cats. I missed them so much!

Thank you Aunt Kathy and Aunt Dawn for helping take such good care of me. I had a really good time and I hope we can do it again sometime! Muah!!!! xoxoxoxoxox

CLARIFICATION: No, the photo of the big, beautiful house on the lake is NOT grandma and granpa's. It was a house we passed while out on the pontoon and everyone thought it was pretty. And it was our landmark for the inlet!

Teddy Bear!

Grandpa bought me a new toy! A big, soft, huggly Teddy Bear!!!

First visit to the Detroit Zoo

Today I visited the Detroit Zoo with Mommy and Bama. It was hot and sunny but we had a great day! We walked around the whole zoo and saw some really cool animals. I thought the seals and the polar bear at the Artic Ring of Life were the best!

9 month stats!

Today I went to see Dr. Hugen for my 9 month check up. She gave me a wooden stick to play with while she checked me all out and then had the nerve to try and take it away from me and stick it in my mouth while she shined a bright light at me!!! The nerve! :)

Here are my stats!
Weight: 18lbs, 4oz (39th percentile)
**Daddy guessed 20 lbs, Mommy guessed 21 lbs and when we got home, grandma guessed 30 lbs! What the....????? Come on grandma!

Height: 28 3/4" (86th percentile)

Head Circumference: 43.6 cm (38th percentile)

Dr. Hugen says I am doing things that most 1 year olds are doing. Yay me! See you in October Dr. Hugen after I turn ONE years old!!!

9 months old!!!!

Today I am 9 months old!!! Here are the things I am now doing:

*wave hello and bye bye or just wave cause it's fun

*clap-I even do it for the song "If you're happy and you know it..." only if I am in the mood though

*crawling even faster then before

*pulling myself up on furniture faster then before

*climbing onto and standing on my chair in the family room-mommy and daddy are not amused by this

*starting to walk along the furniture

*letting go and standing by myself for a few seconds

*squeak and squeal and laugh and laugh when I make all this noise

*chasing and fighting with Paisley (I pull her tail or her fur)-she fights back and
I laugh (again, mommy and daddy are not amused)

*I have tried and liked eating chicken, pork chop, turkey, corn and potatoes

*saying "kit kat"

*saying "momma"

*saying "da da" and sometimes "daddy"

*giving hugs and kisses-sloppy, open mouth kisses. Ha-ha.

On Tuesday I go for my 9 month appointment at the doctor. Check back for my stats!

First time in the puffer fish pool!

Mommy bought me a pool!!! I wasn't very happy in it at first, but once I started to splish splah I started to like it. Hopefully the water will warm up just a little bit with all this hot weather we've been having!!!!
